About Library
Smt. Mohari Devi Taparia Kanya Mahavidyalaya is a renowned Under Graduate college for girls. In this Series, Smt. Ratan Devi Taparia Library was launched on July 4, 2019. The Library has been constructed in a very beautiful and systematic way in which hundred readers can sit together and study. We are providing the latest information about the resources to our patrons. Our library is a knowledge resource center. Collection of more than 10,000 books in the library including Reference books, Journals and Periodicals.
GENERAL
1. Readers are not allowed along with personal belongings.2. For availing library facility, students should be in proper uniform and along with Valid ID Card.
3. While entering the library, readers have to keep all the belongings in the property counter. However, they can carry loose papers or one note book and the authority will not be responsible for any loss.
4. While entering the Library, every reader should write his/her name in the Register kept at the entrance.
5. Every reader should take care of cleanliness of the library and should not disturb the arrangements of the library assets.
6. Every reader should maintain peace in the library & should not disturb other readers in the library; otherwise library facility will be withdrawn.
7. Mobile use is strictly prohibited in Library.
8. Smoking, eating, sleeping and talking loudly are strictly prohibited in the library.
9. Books taken from the stacks should not be reshelved by the readers themselves.
10. Every reader must leave Library five minutes before closing time to ensure proper checking and locking of the Library.
BORROWING ENTITLEMENT
ISSUE AND RETURN
1. Reference (such as a dictionary) and General Books should be read within the Library and these will not be issued.2. Teaching staff can issue five books for 30 days from July to December and for 7 days from January to February.
3. While issuing books, if the reader finds any pages missing from a book, it should be informed to librarian immediately. After issuing the books, reader will be responsible for missing pages.
PENALTY
Penalty for loss of Book(s)
1. Books must be returned to the library within 15 days after last exam, otherwise the fine of Rs.1 will be charged per day per book. In spite of repeated reminders, the mark sheet will not be issued to the student.2. If the books are lost, then the reader shall pay cost of the latest edition.
3. Marking, Scratching, damaging, mutilating, stealing library assets if anyone is found doing so, she will be charged the full replacement cost of the Book/property. It may be collected from the student concerned and also disciplinary action may be taken by library committee/Librarian.
4. The librarian reserves the right to suspend or fine for an act of indiscipline, unauthorized removal of books or damaging the property of library or misbehavior with library staff.
